The M-16's debut CD Loose Bullets was released in June 2004 through Sydney based label/distributor Reverberation while Spanish label No Tomorrow Records will be releasing the album in Europe on vinyl.

Loose Bullets features eight songs and clocks in at just under half an hour. All tracks were recorded at Rob Grant’s Poons Head Studio in Fremantle over three different sessions dating from between December 2000 and July 2002. The band decided to record on 16 track 2" tape using vintage valve amps, microphones and compressors to get the best sound possible. In order to capture their live energy in the studio, every song was recorded within several takes, with Ken overdubbing his guitar leads and vocals afterwards.

Prior to the release of Loose Bullets, The M-16’s released the 7" promo single, Losin’ Time in 2002, which has since received rave reviews from around the world. Limited to only 300 copies, it sold out long ago. The M-16’s have also had tracks appear on two great Australian compilations; Antipodean Screams (Off The Hip) and Playing Favourites (Illustrious Artists).
